Lesson 1: His Death

Readings: Luke 23: 32-56

The Lord Jesus was about 33 years old when He died. It was about three years since He had chosen his twelve disciples and started out on His public ministry. He went about teaching, healing the sick and performing other miracles. In that time He made many friends and followers, but also many enemies, who were jealous of Him and had great influence over the people.

Lesson 2: His Resurrection

Readings: Luke 8: 1-3, John 20: 1-18

It had been a traumatic few days for Mary Magdalene. This was now the third day since the Lord’s death. She had loved, followed and served the Lord Jesus since He had healed and forgiven her some time before.

Lesson 3: His Ascension

Readings: Luke 24: 45-53, Acts 1: 1-12

The Lord Jesus had been crucified and raised from the dead. At various times He had appeared to His disciples and now His final moments on earth have come.

Lesson 4: His Second Coming

Readings: John 14: 1-3; 1 Corinthians 15: 51-54; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18
