Lesson 1: Peter helps Dorcas

Readings: Acts 9: 32-43

Peter went to many towns and cities to tell people about the Lord Jesus. At a seaside town called Joppa, there lived a lady called Dorcas.

Lesson 2: Peter has a vision

Readings: Acts 10: 9-23

After Dorcas had come back to life, Peter stayed in Joppa for some time. At midday, Peter was praying. God spoke to Peter and told him that God loves everyone He has made. Everyone is special to Him.

Lesson 3: Peter and Cornelius

Readings: Acts 10: 23-48

It took Peter and the three men a whole day to get to Cornelius’ house. Cornelius had invited all his friends and family to his house to listen to what Peter had to say. “God told me to send for you”, Cornelius said to Peter. “We are all eager to hear what He has to say to us.”

Lesson 4: Peter in prison again!

Readings: Acts 12: 1-19

King Herod didn’t like the followers of the Lord Jesus. He had James put to death. Soon after this Peter was put in prison. All the Christian friends of Peter met together to pray for him. The night before his trial, Peter was asleep. He was chained to two guards, when suddenly an angel came and woke him up! “Quick, get up”, said the angel. The chains fell off Peter’s wrists. He got up and followed the angel through the prison door and passed the guards.
